Pasture Raised Animals

Our Chickens & Eggs

Our chickens spend their lives outside, scratching, pecking and fertilizing.  We rotate them through our pastures, vegetable fields and orchard.  They help us with pest control and soil health and their varied diet produces amazing quality eggs and meat.  We raise them without antibiotics and supplement their forage diet with organically grown, non GMO grain.  They also get vegetable and fruit scraps from our own farm as well as other local farms, restaurants and businesses.

Our meat chickens are raised…

…in open floor houses that get moved daily. It gives our pasture the perfect amount of fertilizer and gives the birds a steady supply of grass and bugs and a safe place to grow. We process our meat chickens on farm every other week from May-October and sell the meat right in our farm store. We offer whole birds as well as butchered cuts and backs and necks for stock. The meat from a pasture raised chicken is nothing like you’ll find in the grocery store.

Our egg layers are rotated
throughout our fields…

with movable coops and protected with electric fencing. This allows us to keep them safe as we move them to fresh ground regularly. With many different breeds of chickens, our eggs range from different shades of brown, blue green and the occasional white egg. We’ve never sold an egg that’s more then a week old. We usually sell out everyday, so you can be assured our eggs are fresh!

Our Pigs

We raise heritage breed hogs outdoors throughout the year.

Our pigs are rotated through our vegetable fields and pastures. We allow and encourage them to dig, run and act like pigs. This rotation helps us cut down on feed costs and help fertilize our fields for next years’ vegetables. We raise them without antibiotics and supplement their forage diet with organically grown, non GMO grain. They also are fed vegetable and fruit scraps from our own farm as well as other local farms, restaurants and businesses which helps us minimize waste in the community and keep our pigs happy!

Every few months, when a group of pigs are ready, we bring them to a USDA inspected processing facility.  About half of our pork is reserved and purchased through advanced orders, the remainder is available in the farm stand. We offer chops, roasts, nitrate free smoked meats, several types of sausage and also the less popular cuts. Stop by the farm stand anytime to see what we have available.  If you would like to join our pork orders email list or see an available cut and price sheet, email us!
